Since its introduction, the #SocialProcurement Builder has been a cornerstone of our digital toolkit, helping procurement professionals use social media to support sourcing, increase visibility, and connect with potential suppliers.

Following OpenAI’s decision to phase out the custom GPT architecture, we have decided not to convert the Builder into a plugin or an alternative format. Consequently, the initiative will officially discontinue on 10 November 2026.

Reflecting on Nearly Three Years of Innovation

Launched shortly after OpenAI opened access to custom GPTs, the #SocialProcurement Builder has enjoyed nearly three years of innovation and community engagement.

Throughout its journey, the Builder has achieved several notable milestones:

A pioneer in AI-powered procurement: Our tool was among the earliest custom GPTs created to support procurement professionals and social sourcing.
Early adoption of new AI capabilities: The Builder was updated to support GPT-5.2 immediately following its release on 11 December 2025.
High-impact sourcing: At its peak, the Builder generated more than 100 sourcing posts in a single record-breaking day, demonstrating the potential of AI-assisted social procurement.

The Mission Continues

Although the #SocialProcurement Builder is coming to an end, the mission behind the #SocialProcurement initiative remains unchanged.
